Emerging & Promising Practices
The Center on Education and Work, located at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is designing, delivering, and evaluating a distance-education program that prepares college staff to develop and implement summer college preparation programs for individuals with disabilities who have enrolled but not yet begun college. This project is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS), and offers interested persons the opportunity to participate in a 16-week distance education professional development experience.

This guide was produced by Montgomery College Disability Support Services (DSS) through Project JOBTRAC, a federally funded three-year grant to increase faculty and staff awareness about the needs of students with disabilities. Montgomery College collaborated with TransCen, Inc., a local community organization with proven expertise in employment innovations for people with disabilities, as well as disability awareness and accommodation training.
